This is a story of how Lucky the dog found his home in San Antonio, Texas. Story submitted by Mrs. Patti Psencik.
"Lucky was left on some ranch property we have...he was about 3 months old...it was December. My husband, Rickey found him hiding under a metal shed...no food, no water. It was a surprise that the coyotes hadn’t gotten him. So, after enticing him out with food and water, he got him into the truck and brought him home. Jump forward about 1 1/2 years to Mother’s Day, 2010. We were having a large family gathering in our backyard to celebrate Mother’s Day; and, because Lucky was, at the time, VERY ENERGETIC, our daughter Stacy offered to have Lucky stay in her backyard with their dog. So Rickey took Lucky over to Stacy’s, and he had barely gotten back home when Stacy e-mailed the attached photo. Lucky had shown himself to be a climber; but, even though he had gotten on top of her patio coffee table, he had broken absolutely nothing...quite a trick. We all got a good laugh out of the picture because he looked as if he might be thinking “why shouldn’t I be up here?”. Lucky is definitely living the good life!!"
Lot's of dogs like Lucky have the same story, except without the home and family part. Help those animals get the right care they need. Then who knows, soon they might be standing on coffee tables like he did.
